Subject: Program Plan Plan
Assessment Committee Goal to update all Program plans:

This project is summarized at www.trinidadstate.edu/AISL/aps/status.htm, it assigns 3 people per program area - the "Responsible Administrator" (RA), the "Faculty Lead" (FL), and the "AISLC Contact" (AC).  The steps follow the status ordering:

Step 1:    FA will contact all of his/her FLs with instructions - see email template below.

Step 2:    FL develops a rough draft program plan in conjunction with all
program faculty. Keep It SSimple - see examples.

Step 3:    FL sends rough draft plan to "AISLC Contact" by 10/31/04

Step 4:    AC reads plan and responds with comments.

Step 5:    AC iterates with FL until AC feels ready to submit to entire AISL Committee

Step 6:    AISLC returns with corrections/suggestions or OKs the plan

Dear _________faculty,

TSJC is in the process of updating our program plans and we have committed to finishing this by early next semester.  To accomplish this, we have built a process that I will describe.  First, the entire process will be posted at www.trinidadstate.edu/AISL/aps/status.htm - please bookmark this; it will be the official copy of all program plans.

First, look at this web page.  At the top you will see the status ranking for all plans.  Find your program in the matrix and note that it has a ranking (second column).  You will find three (3) people per program area: the administrator responsible for seeing that the plan get updated, the lead faculty member(s), and the AISL committee contact.

Second, look at the links in your program area.  There should be a template and a link to any existing program plan information.

Third, look at the plans that have status numbers 2 or higher - use these as models for your own plan.

Fourth, submit your rough draft plan to the AISL contact (last column in the status matrix) by October 31.

Please contact myself or any AISL committee member with any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Responsible Administrator
