The committee discussed the CNT program plan submitted and voted unanimously to accept it.  Congratulations to Monica and Lige for the first plan to make it to status=5!

The Gunsmithing plan was discussed next and a number of points came out which indicate that it needs work prior to adoption, primary among them are that they did not mention their existing capstone assessment.  Philbin will meet with the gunsmithing instructors to hammer out the details and resubmit prior to the next meeting.

Philbin reported that several program areas have submitted plans (all of which are on the website): Engineering Technology (Mike Mincic), Construction Technology (Rich Olguin and Mark Jones), Manufacturing Technologies/Welding (Norm Williams), Computer Information Systems (Charlene Duran and Shirley Johnson), and Life-n-Physical Sciences (Horton, MacLaren, Philbin,Rankin,Stuart).  These ought to be ready to review at the next AISLC meeting, scheduled for Thursday, November 11 at 4pm in the Berg Seminar Rm and via PicTel to Alamosa.

The process for upgrading was discussed at length and the following changes will be implemented:
When a reader receives a plan, he/she will notify the entire committee plus ALL of the faculty listed in the "Faculty Lead" column that the plan has been received.  Philbin will update the website with that plan ASAP.  When you get the actual plan, forward it immediately to Philbin so I can put it on the website.

Because the process has been delayed, the initial submission of program plans to the AISL contact person has been extended to Wednesday, November 24.  Consequently, the status=3 target date will be moved to Friday, December 10 (the date by which the AISL contact replies to the faculty lead.)
