Assessment Minigrant dates
for 2011-2012;
Brian moved to change the first
assessment minigrant date to Oct 1, Jean 2nd. Vote was
unananimous. Bob will update the RFP online
and the committee will review this for other revisions that need to be made.
In-service & Training -
* Workshops on Fridays - Bonnie
and Bob will meet individually with faculty as possible
* Bring in assessment 'expert' –
see Reading priority below.
Priorities for 2011-2012
Academic Year
1. Reading Across the College
- How
do AST, CIS, WEL, HUM, ... faculty teach reading in context?
- bring outside expert on Teaching Reading in College without detracting f/
course material
- Jean & Nancy will look for speaker(s) and report to committee
2. TracDat
We need to make sure that 100%
of all programs have their reporting up to date by the end of the semester
because the HLC report needs to be sent to HLC in January. REQUIRE every program bring
program-level assessment to some minimal level (‘OK’ in all 10 categories
referring to the established rubric for program level assessment at http://www.trinidadstate.edu/aisl/programs/ProgAssessRubrica.xls
)
Ask each program to analyze
their own program using this rubric (need Deans to do the asking/telling)
- schedule one-on-one meetings
with Bob, Bonnie, ???
3. ALTITUDE Conference – see http://www.trinidadstate.edu/aisl/references/ALTITUDEConference.htm for examples from 4/2011
- Specify what exactly is expected from faculty and staff for the ALTITUDE conference.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert Philbin
