The AAS degree program in Criminal Justice is designed to provide men and women with the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to enter criminal justice occupations. A minimum of 69 semester credit hours is required for an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice.

2a. To educate and qualify students for careers in technical fields and to assist them in securing employment in these fields.   

Graduates will place at the performance goal for the Colorado Postsecondary Performance Core Sub-Indicators

 VE 135 survey data

Every spring based on the previous year’s graduates contacted.

 Report will be within 10% of the State Performance Goals for subindicators 1P1, 1P2, 2P1, 3P1 and 3P2.

The program coordinator will obtain the necessary data to develop the VE 135. The data will be sent to the state.

CTE office will collect VE-135 data from students.  This data is also sent to the state.

Demonstrate gains in academic achievement during the coursework at TSJC.

Students will be scored on a standard 100 point grading scale.

All CRJ students.

90% of students will show gains of 50 or better.

Pretest will be given during the first week of class. Posttests will be given as the final for each individual class.

All instructors will critique and evaluate the student’s final project and report on the TSJC online assessment site.
