This program is designed to introduce the student to
the basic concepts of nursing. It emphasizes the development of basic skills
in administering safe, competent care to patients. It demonstrates skills
needed for the observation and documentation of the patient’s health,
physical condition, and general well being. Skills will be practiced in labs
and in a real-work setting. Once finished with the course, the student is
eligible for certification by the State Board of Nursing and employment as a
certified nursing assistant. |
