	<data>	Students came into the courses with a general lack of knowledge of geography and major historical periods.
	</data>
	<conclusions>It is important to include some background information and context to establish a knowledge base within which to developed the art history and art appreciation content.
	</conclusions>
	<changesMadeOrContinued>Next semester I intend to make sure that students have an understanding of the pertinent geography and chronology before too much art content is presented. I also intend to require both base-line assessment consisting of the identification of a body of art works, and higher-order application projects to be published as web resources and presented at an end-of-year exposition. I am also working on creating a program which would utilize instructional facilitator/collaborators at the distance sites.
