We can create a simple model of a typical department store parking lot by
supposing that people choose a parking spot based on things such as:
distance from parking lot entrance to parking spot
distance from parking spot to department store entrance
The following simulation assumes that entering cars look for a spot that minimizes
the sum of these two distances.
Cars leave based on the length of time that they have been in a given parking lane.
