Vice President for Valley Campus Michael Doyle

Trinidad State Junior College, Colorado’s oldest two-year college, is pleased to announce the selection of Michael E. Doyle as Vice President for the college’s Valley Campus, located in Alamosa and serving the San Luis Valley. Doyle’s selection follows a nationwide search and comprehensive selection process.

“Michael will be a valuable asset to Trinidad State Junior College and to the Valley Campus,” college president Felix Lopez said. “As we hit milestones such as our eighty-fifth anniversary last year, the continued evolution of our program offerings, and the strengthening of our partnerships with the communities we serve, Michael is the person we need to lead the Valley Campus. I look forward to his assistance and leadership in helping to grow our Valley Campus and Trinidad State Junior College.”

Doyle, a Colorado native, recently retired from federal civilian service where he was a supervisory academic officer. His many federal assignments included: Dean of Academics at the Army’s Sergeants Major Academy, Director of Educational Programs and Sponsored Research at the U.S. Research, Development and Engineering Command, and Deputy Director of Air Force ROTC. Additionally, he has taught at Penn State, Troy State and George Mason universities and at Northern Virginia Community College.

Doyle holds a number of graduate degrees and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, University of Mississippi, University of Lancaster, and the Naval War College.

He and his wife of 40 years, Stephanie, intend to reside in Alamosa.
