After learning that the Trinidad Middle School Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement (MESA) students earned the top state awards, the TSJC Educational Foundation Board of Directors wanted to acknowledge the students’ tremendous achievements at the state level. So, to recognize and honor the students, the Foundation recently presented a $500 TSJC scholarship certificate to each student. “Given Trinidad State Junior College’s strong math and science department, the Foundation’s goal is to encourage the students to begin thinking about college and getting their start at TSJC”, said Laura DeBella, Foundation President. She noted this scholarship may be used in conjunction with other future TSJC scholarships. DeBella also commended the TMS MESA sponsors, Ms. Hadaway and Mr. Foster, for their efforts with the MESA team.

The Trinidad State Junior College Educational Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation founded in 1968 to raise and manage private gifts for TSJC. The Foundation’s mission is to promote the growth and development of TSJC.
