Center Goals:
“Trinidad State Junior College will provide a “Counseling Service Center” to help students deal positively and proactively with stress, anxiety, and other problems as they make the transition to college."
The Center will respect the confidentiality
and dignity of all students who use its services.
TSJC will facilitate and promote positive student mental health and well-being through:
· An on-campus “Counseling Service Center” staffed by a part-time licensed professional counselor
· Trained staff able to recognize student distress and refer students for help appropriately
· Presentation of a variety of pro-active awareness and problem solving seminars.
Meet Lisa Ward.The Counseling Service Center Coordinator
Lisa has worked as a clinician and/or mental health consultant in a variety of settings, including private practice, community mental health, Child Protective Services, Head Start, and the AZ. Dept. of Justice.-She has a BS in Human Development and Family Studies and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy
- both degrees from Colorado State University.
--Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 12 years, Clinical Member of American/Colorado Associations of Marriage and Family Therapists
