Degree Description
The Associate of General Studies degree curriculum is designed for students who want to complete a broad program of both career transfer courses without the constraints of specialization or for those students desiring a specific mix of career and traditional transfer courses. Transferability of the Associate of General Studies degree depends upon the courses taken and the receiving institution.
The Associate of General Studies degree program requires a minimum of 32 semester hours of general education courses including 25 of these semester hours in prescribed general education courses. No more than 28 semester hours of course work may be taken in courses with a career & Technical Education prefix.
