Transfer from TSJC to Four-Year Schools

Attending at two-year community college is an excellent way to begin your college career. Many Trinidad State Junior College students plan to go to a four-year college. Some students don’t plan on it, but end up deciding to transfer later. If you are one of these students, you are probably asking some of the following questions.

  • What courses transfer?
  • Where should I transfer?
  • When should I transfer?
  • What special preparations should I be making?
  • How should I go about it?
  • Who can help?

Planning is the key to a successful transfer to a four-year baccalaureate program. Begin researching as soon as possible during your first semester at Trinidad State Junior College and take advantage of the various campus resources available to transfer students. Early Planning will give you the most choices and best opportunities to make and meet course requirements for your intended major at a four-year school. If you are already beyond early planning, or have changed majors during your tenure at Trinidad State Junior College, remember it is Never Too Late to begin a transfer plan at TSJC. Contact your faculty advisor or transfer coordinator to change majors and make up any courses you will need to transfer.
