Aquaculture

Mission Statement: The mission the Aquaculture program is to prepare students for employment by providing hands-on skills, knowledge and practical experience in aquatic science and culture systems management.

Program Learning Outcomes: Students graduating with a certificate or Associate of Applied Science degree in Aquaculture will be prepared to:

  • Understand and apply knowledge related to the biological and physiological processes of aquatic organisms.
  • Diagnose and treat fish diseases.
  • Manage and maintain many types of culture systems.
  • Demonstrate excellent husbandry practices.
