LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER - Alamosa

If you are interested in improving your skills in Reading, Math or English, we have resources available for you. The Learning Resource Center (Room 212) is a large, quiet but busy area where students can study and receive assistance from full and part-time professionals and trained student tutors.

Tutors are available for: Remedial Math, Advanced Math, Remedial Reading, English, and Writing. The LRC is equipped with nineteen computers for students to compose, revise and do internet research.

Tutoring Schedule:

Math - 8:00 – 12:00 - T, W, TR

Reading - 1:00 – 3:00

Writing - By appointment

The LRC is also the “Home of Testing.” The following tests are administered

TABE – Test of Adult Basic Education

Accuplacer – Placement test for College

NET – Nurse’s Entrance Exam

Early Childhood Credentials Test

Proctor of several other tests (psychological, employment)

The Learning Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
