Trinidad State Junior College offers many scholarships annually to students who attend Trinidad State Junior College on a full-time basis. The scholarships provide monetary recognition on a year-by-year basis to first time and continuing students who demonstrate academic expertise in a particular field of study or skill. Many Trinidad State Junior College Scholarships are funded by the state of Colorado. Therefore, many scholarships are available to Colorado residents only. In addition, the Trinidad State Junior College Educational Foundation offers a number of endowed scholarships to TSJC students. A scholarship may be renewed provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship. Eligibility for scholarships is determined each college year. Therefore, a renewal application is required.
Please reference the scholarship booklet link below for scholarships available to students attending Trinidad State Junior College.
Important Information
The Financial Aid Office cannot guarantee that you will receive any of the scholarships listed. It is your responsibility to become aware of all scholarships listed, as well as all requirements, and to make correct and timely applications. An application must be completed for each scholarship. Additional requirements not listed here may have been added.
You must first be accepted at TSJC to apply for scholarships. To make the best use of the scholarship booklet, you should be aware of the following:
• A "resident of the State of Colorado” or just "resident" is defined on the basis of criteria used by the TSJC Registrar's Office. Other definitions, such as what constitutes United States residency, may be determined by individual scholarship donors.
• According to TSJC, a "full-time" undergraduate student is one who is enrolled in 12 hours or more each semester. Again, individual donors may alter this definition. "GPA" is Grade Point Average, which is presently based on a 4.0 scale at TSJC.
• "Demonstrate financial need" may, in most cases, be done on the basis of the FAFSA filed in our office if you apply for financial aid at TSJC. Otherwise, you are responsible for proving financial need to scholarship donors according to their qualifications. You must submit the completed application to us by the first Friday in March proceeding the year of enrollment. Financial Aid is located in the Berg Administration Building, 719/846-5553. A student will receive only one scholarship from TSJC per academic year.
Please ensure that any other information required by the scholarship is submitted with the application form. Applications may be disqualified if all information requested is not supplied.
