The Purgatoire, Trinidad State Junior College’s literary magazine, is looking for submissions from creative individuals!

The deadline for all submissions has been moved to February 15, 2009.

Please send the submissions as an attachment. In the subject line of the email, indicate the appropriate category: poetry, nonfiction, short fiction, art, or photography.

Guidelines for submissions are:

Poetry – Word document or Word compatible document, original, unpublished, 50 lines maximum.

Nonfiction – Word document or Word compatible document, original, unpublished, double spaced, any legible 12 point font, 2,500 word maximum.

Short fiction – Word document or Word compatible document, original, unpublished, double spaced, Times New Roman or any other legible 12 point font, 7,500 word maximum.

Art – Most art work and photos will be published in black and white. Scan into a Jpeg file or Photoshop. Art must be original and convert well into black and white.

Photographs - A limited number of color photos will be accepted. Must be submitted as Jpeg file or usable in Photoshop. Photos must be original and convert well into black and white.

Multiple submissions are acceptable. Two free copies of The Purgatoire will be provided upon acceptance of your submission. For more information, please contact Chelo Ludden at 846-5491.
