The mission of the Occupational Safety and Health Technology Program (OSHT) is to provide a high-quality safety and health educational experience to both pre-service and in-service safety practitioners. The educational experience will ensure that these individuals can function effectively at the safety technician level upon completion of this course of study. Curriculum is based on American Society of Safety Engineers and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET) guidelines that reflect the tasks and functions performed by safety and health practitioners. *Note: Students not possessing sufficient computer skills to successfully navigate an online course will be required to complete CIS 118 Intro to PC Applications prior to registering for any online classes. |
