TSJC OSHT News:

  • New elective course list:

Spring 2010 - Based on recommendations from the OSHT program's industry advisory committee, the list of approved electives for the certificate and degree programs was recently updated to reflect courses available solely online, including a new course offering, PHI 205 Business Ethics. For more information, see the Degree Requirements.

  • Application fee waiver for certification exams:

The Council on Certification of Health, Environmental and Safety Technologists (CCHEST) has approved a waiver of the Occupational Safety and Health Technologist (OHST) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) application fees for graduates of ABET-ASAC accredited associate degree programs. TSJC graduates with an AAS in Occupational Safety and Health are eligible. Since this program is retroactive, those who graduated in 2003-2007 are also eligible. Occupational Safety and Health students in their last semester qualify for the waiver as well. For more information, contact the TSJC OSHT program at 1-888-736-2883 or osh@trinidadstate.edu.
