Important Information

Our office cannot guarantee that you will receive any of the scholarships listed. It is your responsibility to become aware of all scholarships listed, as well as all requirements, and to make correct and timely applications. An application must be completed for each scholarship.

Deadlines for these scholarships vary greatly. It is strongly suggested you write for information and applications as soon as possible so that you do not miss an early deadline. You must first be accepted at TSJC to apply for scholarships. Additional requirements not listed here may have been added. Note too, that many scholarships allow you to reapply in following years (Renewal Application).

Finally, to make the best use of this list, you should be aware of the following: A "resident of the State of Colorado " or just "resident" is defined on the basis of criteria used by the TSJC Registrar's Office. Other definitions, such as what constitutes United States residency, may be determined by individual scholarship donors.

According to TSJC, a "full-time" undergraduate student is one who is enrolled in 12 hours or more each semester. Again, individual donors may alter this definition. "GPA" is Grade Point Average, which is presently based on a 4.0 scale at TSJC.

"Demonstrate financial need" may, in most cases, be done on the basis of the FAFSA filed in our office if you apply for financial aid at TSJC. Otherwise, you are responsible for proving financial need to scholarship donors according to their qualifications. You must submit the completed application to us by the first Friday in April preceding the year of enrollment. Financial Aid is located in the Berg Administration Building , 719/846-5553. A student will receive only one scholarship from TSJC per academic year.

Scholarship Information

The following scholarships are available to students of Trinidad State Junior College. They are funded by the TSJC Educational Foundation. Most will require the use of a scholarship application form. Please ensure that any other information required by the scholarship is submitted with the application form. Applications will be disqualified if all information requested is not supplied.
