The Trojans run through the Region IX tournament ended Tuesday night against Eastern Wyoming as the Trojans fell 63-62. The game Trojan team fought the hometown Lancer team, that had already defeated them twice, to the closing seconds but fell just one basket shy of a chance to play for the Region Title.
The Trojans had come into the tournament as the third seed from the south region. They upset Miles Community College in overtime to advance to the second round of the tournament for the first time in over a decade.
On Monday night TSJC took on North Platte, the top seed from the Eastern Region. The Trojans ran past the Knights by 20 points.
Trinidad State wrapped up a fantastic season near the top of the 16 team region.
