Trojan freshman Julia Diehl had two homeruns, 4 RBI's and picked up the win on the mound as the Lady Trojans came from behind to defeat McCook 8-7 in the first round. The Trojans trailed by five runs midway through but managed to tie the game in the sixth. McCook retook the lead in the seventh but a home run by Diehl tied it up. Nikole Morgan then reached and using some great "Small Ball" the Trojans brought her around to score.
Alyse Billick had a homerun for the Trojans and YaYa Jacquez also had a good game at the plate.
TSJC will now play at noon on Friday, weather permitting, against the winner of the Otero/North Platte game.
In other tourney news Lamar was upset 6-2 by Dawson in the first round. Otero edged North Platte 8-4 and Western Nebraska had no problem defeating Dawson 10-2.
