|Kane Family Foundation Scholarship||March 7, 2014||The Kane Family Foundation is offering a prestigious merit scholarship which is available to Colorado graduating high school seniors with a 3.25 GPA or higher who plan to transfer to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs after completing their associates degree at TSJC. This scholarship will cover full tuition, mandatory course fees, and required course books for up to four years/eight semesters, not including summer. The scholarship program, one of the largest in Colorado, is made possible by the Kane Family Foundation and its benefactors, Wanden (Wandeen) and Andy Kane. Originally created in 2006, the scholarship has been expanded to several public higher education institutions in Southern Colorado. Each year, the Kane Family Foundation provides scholarships to students in Southern Colorado totaling approximately one million dollars. All applications must be turned in by March 7, 2014 for consideration for the 2014-15 academic year.|
Trinidad State Junior College offers many scholarships annually to students who attend Trinidad State Junior College on a full-time basis. The scholarships provide monetary recognition on a year-by-year basis to first time and continuing students who demonstrate academic expertise in a particular field of study or skill. Many Trinidad State Junior College Scholarships are funded by the state of Colorado. Therefore, many scholarships are available to Colorado residents only. In addition, the Trinidad State Junior College Educational Foundation offers a number of endowed scholarships to TSJC students. A scholarship may be renewed provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship. Eligibility for scholarships is determined each college year. Therefore, a renewal application is required and due the first Friday of March.

It is your responsibility to become aware of all scholarships listed, as well as all requirements, and to make correct and timely applications. You must first be accepted at TSJC to apply for scholarships. An application must be completed for each scholarship. Please see the Scholarship Booklet for information. Additional requirements not listed here may have been added.
Please ensure that all information required by the scholarship is submitted with the application form. Applications may be disqualified if all information requested is not supplied. Many, but not all, applications are due the first Friday of March.
