Annual Colorado Community College Awards

You will find below an awesome opportunity to highlight one of our Trojans for the Annual Colorado Community College Awards. You can nominate for any category including Rising Star (Student Award), Advocate of the Year Award (Staff and Faculty Award) and President and Vice President of the Year. Please take a moment to review the criteria below and get your nomination to the System office by March 2nd. The nomination links are embedded below and will only take a few moments of your time to submit. If you have any questions you can contact Stacie Amaya from the CCCS Office.

Rising Star Award

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominee must be a student of a CCCS college taking at least nine (9) credit hours
  • Student must be involved in campus leadership/activities
  • Student must maintain a college GPA of at least 3.0
  • Student must demonstrate a high level of involvement in activities and student leadership at the college level

Advocate of the Year Award

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominee must have worked within the Colorado Community College System for at least one year
  • Nominee must demonstrate exemplary commitment and service to student success on a CCCS campus or at the system level
  • Nominee should be directly involved in providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to students via student organizations at a CCCS college or at the system level
  • Nominee must be nominated by a student or a group of students

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominee must have served at least one year as President or Vice President at a CCCS college
  • Nominee will have attended a majority of official student activities on campus
  • Nominee will have significantly contributed to or supported student activities and student leadership development on campus or across the system colleges
  • Nominee must be nominated by a student or a group of students
