Welcome to TSJC's Testing Center

TSJC offers three different types of testing for students:

  1. The Accuplacer test is administered by the Learning Center to all incoming students in order to assist them and their advisors in selecting course levels most likely to result in student success.

The Accuplacer Basic Skills Assessment evaluates knowledge in the areas of reading, English, arithmetic and algebra.

  2. Instructional testing is available for current students who need to take make-up tests and any Pictel or on-line class tests where the student may need a proctored environment.

  3. Placement Testing is mandated by Community Colleges of Colorado Board Policy for community college students who are either:
    * Degree seeking (not including certificates). This includes continuing students who switch from unknown to degree seeking; and/or
    * Enrolling in College-level English or math.
