I am currently a doctoral candidate in the School of Education and Human Development at CU Denver. My concentration in the EdD program at this time is focused on First Generation students, their identity and social capital. This interests me as a First Generation student myself and as the students I serve at my college are predominantly First Generation, Pell Eligible and students of color. In my professional role, I feel great responsibility to provide resources and opportunities for my students.
