We are proud to present artists Amanda McLeod and Maeve Eichelberger in our Artist Lecture Series. Amanda, a graduate of Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, creates evocative oil and pastel works with impressionistic flair, drawing on her background in illustration and her life in southern Colorado. Maeve, a Colorado native, is known for her innovative 3-dimensional collages on Plexiglass, layering urban and rural themes to explore nostalgia, beauty, and the ever-changing environment of the West. Together, their work invites viewers to experience art that tells stories, honors history, and reveals new perspectives.Maeve Eichelberger is a Colorado native, capturing both urban and rural lifestyles
in her artwork. Passionate about collage, Maeve specializes in a new form of 3 dimensional
collage. Using Plexiglass as a material for its modern, durable and transparent qualities,
allowing her to explore layers more deeply. “I create multiple layers of experience
that demonstrates the significance of observing life both sequentially and simultaneously”.
Maeve explores the many vitalities in the west, via lifestyle, nature and textiles. Her intent is to honor the many forms and the history by creating a 3 dimensional interpretation, infused with nostalgia and beauty of our ever changing environment.
She has exhibited her work around the country, and is collected by Museums and various private collectors internationally.
Creating art that evokes meaning and tells stories, is something Amanda McLeod cannot
live without. Her style is refined with impressionistic brush strokes. She works in
both oils and soft pastels and occasionally dabbles in other media. Amanda graduated
from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustrations,
specializing in Children’s Books Illustration. Shortly after she went on to earn her
masters in Business Administration. Her latest adventure brings her to southern Colorado
in Trinidad where she currently resides in a hundred year old brick craftsman house,
slowly restoring it. Her studio is the spacious 2nd floor filled with artwork, supplies
and antiques.
