Dustin Eicke, Ph.D., serves as President of Trinidad State College. He brings experience
as a faculty member, department chair, institutional researcher, accreditation leader,
and senior community college administrator, with a career focused on student success,
institutional effectiveness, workforce alignment, and the role of open-access colleges
in strengthening communities.
Originally from Lubbock, Texas, Dustin has taught criminology at universities across
Texas and New Mexico and has served in higher education leadership roles in New Mexico,
Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado. Before joining Trinidad State, he served as Vice
President of Performance and Planning and Accreditation Liaison Officer at Laramie
County Community College in Cheyenne, WY.
Dustin is especially committed to rural-serving colleges, practical pathways to opportunity,
and building strong connections among students, employees, employers, and the broader
community. He has been coming to southern Colorado for more than a decade to camp,
hike, and mountain bike. Dustin and his wife, Erika, along with their dog, Dobby,
are grateful to be part of the Trinidad State community.
