Riley grew up in Glenwood Springs, CO. After graduating high school in 2017 he attended Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC where he earned a Bachelors of Environment with a major in resource and environmental management, and minor in development and sustainability. He was also a member of the men’s NCAA Div. 2 wrestling team while at Simon Fraser. After graduating from SFU in 2022, he immediately transitioned to coaching at his Alma matter for 3 seasons. Once his temporary work permit had expired for the government of Canada, he decided to return back home to Colorado so he can be closer to his family. Riley is determined to guide his student-athletes both on and off the mat in their pursuit of growth and success. Riley lives with his partner of 7 years, Ursula, and they have a 3 year old dog named Juniper.
