Trinidad State College's Emergency Medical Department prepares students for fast-paced careers in emergency medical services. With programs available on both campuses—offered in the evenings—you can earn the credentials you need without putting your life on hold.

All programs are state-approved and lead to eligibility for national registry exams, giving you credentials recognized across the country.

Program Cost

Tuition rates are identical at Trinidad and Valley campuses. Fees vary slightly by campus and credit load — see the full schedule for exact per-term totals. Estimates do not include books, supplies, or room and board. Rates are for 2025–2026 and subject to change.

Comprehensive EMT training across medical, trauma, and special consideration emergencies, paired with hands-on clinical experience and a technical English course.
